I am setting up a new WSUS stand alone server for our disconnected network on a 2008 Standard R2 Server located in a secure Air Force facility. So far I have been unable to get the updates to download following the content copy and wsusutil import procedure. The server overview in the WSUS Manager appears as follows:
Unapproved updates: 0, Approved updates: 6473, declined udpates: 55, Computers needing updates: 157, Updates needed by computers: 895, Updates needing files: 6473, Downloaded 0.05 of 54,502 MB (which never changes). I have English only checked as the language, Update Files are set to Store update files locally on this computer and the Download update files to this server only when updates are approved is checked, the Download Express Installation Files box is not checked.
Our import files and content files are provided by the Air Force secure update sitehttps://ceds.gunter.af.mil/enosc/index.asp and are provided in a zip file. I have no way of knowing what the settings of the import server were. I simply copied the subfolders of the WSUSContent folder provided to me and I imported the .cab file (20130212.cab) using the wsusutil. The import process appeared normal although the SUSDB appears quite large (1,934,528 KB).
I got a suggestion to run the Clean Up Utility under Options which I did, and it did clean up some updates (superceded and such) but no change in the Download Status. The File Status indicates that 'The Update is Downloading' for each of the updates but I see nothing downloading.
Any help on ths problem is greatly appreciated.
