Hi All
Struggling (again) with the GUI crashing (infamous 'An error occurred trying to connect to the WSUS console') when listing 25,000+ updates, so by using the GUI I've been deselecting unused Productions and Classifications. Then hoping running the excellent scripts found here would actually remove them: https://blog.ctglobalservices.com/configuration-manager-sccm/kea/house-of-cardsthe-configmgr-software-update-point-and-wsus/
Even after using MS SQL Management Tools and running the scripts on the stored procedure spGetObsoleteUpdatesToCleanup, I see no reduction in the total KB number listed in the GUI.
As a workaround I've created multiple 'Update Views' where the maximum view lists 11395 updates and the GUI appears to list without falling over.
BUT, how do I remove Products and Classifications from the DB in order to reduce the total updates?
Thanks
Lea
