3am Install is fine, but we really need a way to specify "DOWNLOAD after hours!"
There seems to be no intelligent way to tell Microsoft Wupdates or WSUS to "Do *NOT* download updates during working hours!"
Aside from "detection frequency," there's no way I can find to "delay download of updates from the WSUS server until after 4pm."
Previous job, I believe we just kept Auto-updates 'disabled' until after 4pm and then we did something like a 'forced check' - wuaclt / detectnow.
This is *CRITICAL*, since the updates seem to "automatically download" (of course, since that's how we have them set) at whatever time they happen to check in with WSUS; and since we have remote sites with VERY slow links, and it bogs down their segment of the network and their computers, waiting for multiple downloads onto multiple computers at the sites.
Anyone dealt with this? There has GOT to be a way to "tune this." My thought was that we used to keep auto-updates disabled at my previous job, until after 4pm, when we then "re-enabled auto-updates" and then did a "wuaclt /detectnow" on all workstations, and that allowed 6+ hours for updates to download, so that the 3am install was usually on target.
Thoughts? Solutions? (thanks in advance)

[And then we, again, disabled auto-updates at 6am, I think]
