I have 2 servers. On both of them they had 120GB drives, and now i get the message saying there's not enough space...I think WSUS is hogging up all the system memory..because I don't have any other heavy applications running...could it maybe be restore points too? Pagefile is only 2GB.
Anyway, after reading a bit, I declined all superceeded updates, then whenever I go to run the clean-up wizard, it will always crash and disconnect from the database. I'm not trying one check-box at a time and see how that goes...
But is this a tell-tail sign of WSUS? That it just eats up all system memory? Should I uninstall this program and just find another way to do updates?
Please help. I will be on the forums all day, so if you write a response, be prepared for a response from my end within 30 min.
You can tell me what to try and I will tell you results.
Thanks
EDIT: Ok was actually successfully on one of the servers, it cleared up about 30GB worth, but it's all ready starting to eat up space again, any tips on how to manage this better?
EDIT: Success on 1 server so far, cleared up about 100GB, will try and read how to manage this better...any suggestions?
EDIT: If a WSUS server has a small number of clients, or if most of the clients are "roaming" clients with Internet access, you may wish to host update content on Microsoft Update rather than on the local WSUS server. Clients will get update approvals from the server, but can pull the upload files directly from the Internet.
-------This seems like a good option, how can I configure this?
