Hi,
I'm currently building a new WSUS server based on Windows Server 2008 R2. I'd like to use SSL for this particular deployment and believe that I have followed the correct steps to get this up and running. Despite this, I can't connect to the server via the WSUS console on the local machine (I get the error "Cannot connect to <FQDN>. The server may be using another port of different Secure Sockets Layer setting."). I'm using a third-party issued wildcard SSL certificate. Browsing to the default website in IE works fine and there are no certificate validation errors.
I understand that others have had similar problems in the past with wildcard certificates. I'd be grateful if someone could provide a definitive answer as to whether you can use a wildcard certificate with WSUS?
Thanks.
