I am getting this error when I run the wsusutil.exe movecontent at the command prompt.
This is on an SBS 2011 machine
Here is what had happened. I wanted to move the WSUS contenet to a new local drive so I ran the "Move Windows Update Repository Data" program in the Windows SBS 2011 Standard Console.
The program moved the data successfully from drive E:\ to Drive D:\ with no problems.
After doing so I realized that I did not want to move the data at all and I wanted to move it back to its original location. I had not deleted any folders from the original location so the WSUS directory is still there along with the sub folders.
I ran the utility from within the Standard Console once again and it failed with errors. The error is "The WSUS repository location cannot be set."
I then ran the wsusutil.exe from the command prompt with correct syntax and it begins to run but after about four minutes I receive:
Fatal Error: The WSUS synchronization service <WsusService> cannon be stopped
I tried to mannually stop the UpdateService and tried running the command again with the same results.
I have tried all of the suggestions I could find in these threads and have not been able to get this to work properly.
Any help would be appreciated.
