WSUS Clents and Server Not Reporting

Let's try this again after getting an internal server error after hitting submit.

I will be deploying a WSUS server into our work environment within the next few months. Before I start to play around with that network I have been doing some testing on a network at home. The following is what I have setup for the test.

Server - Windows Server 2008 r2 w/SP1 - Physical machine (WSUS)

Client - Windows XP Pro w/SP2 - Physical machine

Client - Windows XP Pro w/SP3 - Virtual machine

Client - Vista Business w/SP2 - Virtual machine

Client - Windows 7 Ultimate N W/SP1 - Virtual machine

The entire network is setup like this. The WSUS server is plugged into a Netgear hub. The physical XP machine is plugged into the same hub. All of the virtual machines are residing on another machine which is plugged into the same hub. The virtual machines are setup as a Bridged Network. The main network is plugged into the hub to allow the WSUS server and the virtual host machine to get internet access.

All of the machines can ping each other. The clients can be pinged from the server after turning off the Firewalls.

None of the machines are reporting into the WSUS server. The server itself is being listed under the All Computers listing in the WSUS console but it has not reported in. This whole thing has been running for about a week.

I am about ready to pull my hair out trying to get this thing up and running. I am really new to this sort of thing so I am assuming I can missing something really simple, just not sure what that is as of yet.

Does anyone know of anyplace where I can start with?
