I am hoping someone can help me with a problem I am having on a disconnected network whereby most updates have a status of "files for this update have not yet been downloaded".
I am running WSUS 3 SP2 on Windows 2008 R2 with SQL 2008 R2 Standard on both the main WSUS server and disconnected WSUS server. I used Windows Backup to backup the contents of WSUSContent (but not WSUSContent itself). I then used the wsusutil export command to extract the metadata. On the disconnected server I restored the contents into WSUSContent without overwriting WSUSContent intself. Afterwards, I used the wsusutil import command.
I have compared the number of files, folders and size on both servers and they are identical. I have also compared the ownership and ACLs on those folders and they are identical. I have ensured that on the main server the updates are indeed showing up as downloaded on the console - they are. All of the updates are physically on disk on the disconnected server. I have also issued the wsusutil reset command.
Does anyone have any suggestions to help out?
