I installed KB2793634 successfully on one 2008 server, but it failed to install 10 times on another 2008 server with unknown error 84BE0BCE. Both are vms.
I also tried rebooting and reinstalling KB which also failed.
I have never looked at the windows update log before, but I can open it. Not sure what to look for. Periodically it asks me if I want to reload it which I do. At the bottom of the file I see:

Looking at http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2793634 I see that there is a prereq thatTo apply this update, you must have SQL Server 2012 SP1 installed.
When I look at Uninstall Programs, I do not see that SP1 is installed, so why would WSUS be pushing it to my server?
Then again the server that successfully installed this KB did not have SQL server 2012 sp 1 installed either, so I do not know why the kb worked there.
I have no idea what is going on, so am asking here.
