WSUS is installed on the server and busy downloading files from the latest synch, clients have all connected.
I can find plenty of posts about changing from Windows Internal Database to SQL Server, but I want to go the other way.
We are trying to retire SQL Server due to licencing costs/concerns so I want to have WSUS uses WID for its database.
I have tried uninstalling the role from the server so I could reinstall with the correct database selection but that broke the server so badly I had to go for a bare-metal restore.
Any pointers on how to go about changing the database option for WSUS ?
