Hi,
We just replaced our old wsus server running under win2008 with a fresh installed win 2012 server. The installation went smoothly and the old server's *IP address and FQDN were reused for the new server*.
Once up and running we selected products, synched it up and the clients started popping in. Everything looked normal.
But we noticed that in the WSUS MMC most of the clients displayed with a low 'Needed' cound, and not zero here as with the old server. My concern is that they remain at the same 'Needed updates' count despite several wuauclt /resetauthorization /detectnow and wuauclt /detectnow /reportnow 'kicks' in addition to reboots.
I paste in an excerpt from a client's log below. Can someone point us in the right direction to solve this so the clients start to 'obey' the new wsus server?
