We use WSUS and control it via Group Policy. If I have a laptop that is in the office and on the network, it will get it's updates from WSUS when they are approved (e.g. 2pm on patch Tuesday). The laptop will also get it's instructions for when to schedule those updates (in our case 3am) and will wake it up if it's asleep. My question is what happens if the laptop is taken home and is not on the network when 3am comes along? Does it still follow it's instructions?
Thanks!
Jim
