Sequence of events. I was required to move the WSUS server from one server (on one network) to the corporate network, also connecting to SQL server. Everything seemed to be working, then there were 4-5 updates that failed. The error code 80244019 pointed to the fact the the files did not exist which when I searched for them they did not. Searching on line I found a suggestion should run wsusutil reset, to force an alignment between meta data and actual files. Did so, and now I can not access the interface. It opens I click update services, but if I attempt to see systems it sits for a while then I get the: Error: Connection Error. Looking at the resource monitor, there is a lot of activity. Error is as below
The WSUS administration console was unable to connect to the WSUS Server via the remote API.
Verify that the Update Services service, IIS and SQL are running on the server. If the problem persists, try restarting IIS, SQL, and the Update Services Service.
