Good afternoon-
I have 19 development servers that were configured via GPO (4 - Auto download and schedule the install) to download and install updates this morning, Thursday, at 4:00 AM. All of them are reporting to WSUS that they still have failed or needed updates. When I logged on to a few of them to spot check, I was given the "You must restart your computer for the updates to take effect" dialog box. My intention is to have these servers reboot ASAP after the updates are installed and not wait for anything (we install updates off hours for this exact reason). When I run rsop.msc on them, they are receiving the correct GPOs, but I did notice that the "No auto-restart with logged on users for scheduled automatic updates installations" option was set to "Enabled."
1.) Since my intention is to have these servers reboot ASAP, should this be set to "Disabled" instead?
2.) Is there a way for me to find out why these servers did not automatically reboot and why I'm being prompted to do so? Something specific in the WindowsUpdate.log? Could it be because of #1?
Thank you!
