Hi,
Seeing an issue on my SBS 2008 where 20-25 updates in the console appear "In Progress" stuck and not being offered to client computers any longer, here is the events from the daily report e-mail:
Windows Server Update Services 10032 1/14/2013 8:36:26 PM 2 Event Details: The server is failing to download some updates. Windows Server Update Services 364 1/14/2013 2:33:51 PM 1 Event Details: Content file download failed. Reason: The server name or address could not be resolved Source File: /msdownload/update/software/secu/2012/11/windows6.0-kb2761465-x64_a1645f7c349ba7417260b95bedb5b8e2c4cb8077.cab Destination File: D:\WSUS\WsusContent\77\A1645F7C349BA7417260B95BEDB5B8E2C4CB8077.cab.
BITS shows an error as well:
BITS has stopped transferring "http://download.windowsupdate.com/msdownload/update/software/secu/2012/12/windows6.1-kb2742599-x64_cc314ecc5eccc5658138c4f4ac2719190db2187d.cab" for job "42e22920-56b7-4d41-a26a-1cf40ad83d76". The status code was 2147953401.
More information
I went into the WSUS snap-in and there are updates saying "The files for this update have not yet been downloaded. The update can be approved but will not be available to computers until the download is complete."
File Information indicates files do exist for these updates.
BPA has been run.
Network service permission validated on WSUS folder.
This is a vanilla SBS install.
Any ideas what is casuing this?
Thanks,
Chris
