Connecting WSUS to SQL 2014 using TLS 1.2

HI,

I need to connect a WSUS currently running with SQL 2014 Express backend to SQL Server using TLS 1.2. This is required by my PCI environment, that requires to disable TLS 1.0.

I've installed SQL 2014 patch that enables TLS 1.2, then client libraries (ADO.NET, ODBC, native client, ecc.) that support TLS 1.2, as released by MS. The I've disabled TLS 1.0, but it seems that WSUS cannot connect to SQL (the service do not start). If I re-enable TLS 1.0 it starts again. Using management studio, after the patch, I can start the connection.

Any idea to make WSUS PCI compliant?
