Intranet WSUS

Hi,
I'm seaching for how to configure wsus clients the optimized way
(wether it is desktops or moving from a site to another site roaming laptops).

So the need is to get the MS updates from local (nearest) WSUS server.
On the GPO, the only info available is to set the Intranet WSUS Server URL.
I just found this link on how to Configure WSUS for Roaming Clients

Seems like that's the Microsoft recommended solution

I'm wondering if I can have any feedback from IT that already implemented this -                                       Any advice would be helpful.
